Peach Princess is a company based in San Diego, California which licenses, translates and distributes Japanese bishojo eroge (hentai games). Partly due to the fact that they often remove the 'mosaics' from the games (which are created in order for the original releases to adhere to the Japanese laws which regard depictions of explicit sexual content), they are one of the few companies to only release 'Adult Only' games (classed as AO by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB)). They most commonly work with the Japanese game development company 'Crowd' who have produced releases such as the X-Change series and their most recent release, Brave Soul.

Game Compatibility

Most of the games distributed by Peach Princess are not available for console systems or non-Windows PC systems. There are a number of reasons for this, which they have detailed in order to satisfy consumer's demand for reasons why they cannot play certain games on their specific system. The reason that none of their games are available on consoles is due to the fact that the consortium of Microsoft, Sony and other console manufacturers have ruled out adult products and games being made available for their systems, even though adult DVDs can still be run on consoles that have DVD playing capabilities. Some have argued that the games they want are available in Japan on consoles, although these are usually all-age adaptions of the eroge available on PC. There is also usually a huge demand in Japan for the non-adult bishojo games which the manufacturers have made an effort to answer, although these games have not been made available for licensing for the western world.
